HCL Round Up 2024 Edition

We are back with this month’s lottery round-up!

What better way to start May than with National Gardening Week running from April 9th to May 5th. It is a perfect opportunity to get outdoors as the weather is starting to get better. Our Good Cause Green Connections bridge care homes to communities through nature-themed activities and you could help support them by purchasing a lottery ticket here

'Time for a Cuppa' Week is running from the 1st to the 8th of May this year. It is a great opportunity to organise a get-together with family, friends and colleagues over a cuppa, cake and biscuits whilst raising funds to help families facing dementia. Our Good Cause, Elstree & Borehamwood Dementia Club runs a group for those living with Dementia, their families and carers. You can help support this group by purchasing a ticket here.

To any Star Wars fans reading this, May the 4th be with you!

Wednesday 8th May is World Donkey Day. Have you seen Lilly Dee at Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary? By clicking the link here, you can support their work to help rescue horses and ponies who may have been neglected, abandoned or otherwise in need of care.

International Nurses Day is on Sunday 12th May this year, so we would like to take this moment to thank all of the nurses, carers and workers who help keep our health services running. Carers in Herts is one of our more recent Good Causes who have joined the Community Lottery family and you can help support them by purchasing a ticket here.

Walk to School Week this year is from the 20th to the 24th and Friends of Monksmead PA, Friends of St Teresa’s Primary School, Hertswood Academy and Mount Grace School are all registered as a Good Cause on our lottery. Are you an ex-pupil? Do you have children attending one of the schools? You could support them by purchasing a ticket using the links above.

This month's Birthday Bonus Shout Out goes to Green Connections CIC who will celebrate a year on the lottery with us on Thursday 30th May!
